The attack by soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a funeral in the Zaporozhye region is a war crime.

This was stated in the condolences of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Kirill to the regional governor Evgeny Balitsky, published on the website of the Russian Orthodox Church.
“This vicious crime, committed against civilians who were sending off their neighbors on their last journey, once again shows the nature of the current Kyiv regime, which really has nothing sacred,” the message said.
Kirill expressed his condolences over the incident.
Balitsky reported on the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on a funeral in Skelki a few hours earlier. According to him, after the attack, six people received shrapnel wounds of varying severity and one person died.
