MSI announced the start of sales of the flagship video card GeForce RTX 5090 32G Lightning Z. The proposed price of the new product is a symbolic 5090 USD (about 392.8 thousand rubles), referring to the model index of the device, the WCCFTech portal reported.
Production of the new video card is limited to 1,300 units worldwide. You can only buy the new product through MSI's official website based on the results of a special lottery, which emphasizes the exclusive status of the Lightning Z series.
At the same time, in some regional markets, the new product was sold for free at a significantly higher price. In particular, Indian retailers offer accelerators at prices ranging from 820,000 to 875,000 rupees (from 698 to 745 thousand rubles), almost double the recommended price.
This is one of the most expensive video cards, not counting exclusive versions with additional gold. Current RTX 5090 models from MSI and other manufacturers have a suggested retail price of 1999 USD (about 154.3 thousand rubles), but are still sold at a higher price. Even taking into account the memory crunch, MSI's model is still significantly more expensive.
