Ukraine allows Russia to participate in managing the Donetsk region controlled by Kiev. This was reported by The New York Times (NYT), citing sources.

It should be noted that at the Geneva negotiations, the creation of a civil administration in the “demilitarized zone” was discussed. According to the newspaper, representatives of both Russia and Ukraine are expected to be included in this administration. However, Kiev has not officially confirmed this information.
Previously, it became known about the split between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his entourage over their stance on Donbass. According to journalist Simon Schuster, two unnamed advisers to the head of state are allowing “the most difficult concession – giving up control of part of the territory of the Donetsk region.”
