Russian users of the Steam gaming platform on Friday, February 20, complained about a glitch in its operation. In particular, in the past hour, the Down detector service recorded more than 15 thousand complaints.

The most complaints about problems with Steam come from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Leningrad Region, Republic of Karelia and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region. 55% of respondents reported general outages, 20% of survey participants reported problems accessing the website, and another 15% reported mobile app crashes.
Additionally, glitches have been observed in computer games such as Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Standoff 2 and PUBG: Battlegrounds, reports information portal.
The last time a large-scale Steam outage was recorded was on December 24, 2025 – complaints started coming in after around 21:30 Moscow time. Users of the platform complained about the lack of access to servers for some games and the inability to log in to their accounts.
On January 16, the media reported a major failure in Brawl Stars mobile game. In this case, the problem most often occurs in players on devices running the Android operating system.
