Latvian composer Raimonds Pauls has revoked all authorizations issued to his agent ahead of a concert celebrating his 90th birthday. The official statement was published on Tuesday, February 17, in the publication Latvijas Vēstnesis.

The corresponding legal measure deprives the representative of the right to engage in transactions and manage financial or image affairs. Experts say this shows that the relationship between him and his team is clearly deteriorating, which could lead to legal proceedings.
In addition, the conflict surrounding Pauls' anniversary concert escalated into a scandal with legal and social consequences. His decision was seen as a public expression of distrust in the actions of his representatives and the composer's control over his work.
In January, Pauls admitted he and singer Alla Pugacheva not cooperate a long time ago. According to him, they still maintain a normal relationship and each follow their own path in life. The composer also suggested that any new collaboration would inevitably create nostalgic comparisons to past successes of the 1980s.
