Game designer Hideo Kojima shared the news on social networks about the completion of work on a new video. Editing and mixing is “everything,” but it's unclear exactly what the developer is preparing.

This is the same video that was reported in early February. Kojima sat down to edit “for the first time in 8 months” and many people thought he was preparing a video for the announcement of the PC version of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The port was actually showcased at the recent State of Play, with a March 19 release and a trailer. But the mysterious video mentioned above is something else, as editing continued after the announcement.
So what is it? By the way, the text on the screen: 小島秀夫監修作品, where 小島秀夫 is Hideo Kojima, and 監修作品 is “what is done under his control/supervision” (“A Hideo Kojima Game”, as in the English version?).
Some users claim that the game designer is preparing a new trailer for his atypical horror game OD Knock, while others are hoping for Physint. However, in August 2025, Kojima admitted that he was developing the spy action game alone. So maybe it's too early for a Physint trailer.
And yes, it's very possible that Kojima has made another video for Death Stranding 2 for PC. After going through his series of social media posts and reposts, we discovered that:
The developer has prepared Japanese and English versions of the video;
The video uses “musical composition with complex rhythms”. Kojima even had to use a metronome.
