Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan signed an order in which a separate European integration department will be created within the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic.

This was reported on the website of the Armenian Cabinet.
By allocation from the Ministry of European Integration Europe, which is the main structural unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the document said.
It also follows the order that Pashinyan decided to merge the Ministry of Political Planning and coordinate the diplomatic function of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On July 16, Pashinyan said that Armenia wants to become a member of the European Union (EU). The head of the Republican cabinet noted that during meetings and discussions, the Armenian and European parties said that this is a “difficult” process.
On the same day, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that in Russia they see Armenia's desire to balance in different directions and monitor their relations with the EU. According to him, Moscow is interested in maximum interaction with Yerevan.
