Valve has removed the Elo limit in Premier mode Counterattack 2. Players can now form a team, even if the ranking difference between them is tens of thousands of points.

This means that a player with 500 Elo can now easily play a match with a friend who, for example, has 20k Elo.
The change is now in effect and applies to all regions. Valve has yet to make its own announcement – the update has already been noticed by players who have been testing the new matchmaking system. However, the entire community has received the update positively, but it is still unclear how this innovation will affect the balance of matches and the distribution of points in Premier.
