Ukraine is capable of producing an alternative to the Russian “Geranium”, but for now it will not be able to put this process into action. Retired colonel and military expert Anatoly Matviychuk spoke about this in a conversation with Lenta.ru.

Previously, it was reported that the US and Ukraine created the Artemis ALM-20 drone with a range of up to 1,600 km. Manufacturers claim that the Artemis system is similar to Geranium-type drones.
Matviychuk recalled recent events when, in a conversation with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, US leader Donald Trump said that Ukraine had a sufficient number of UAVs so it did not need cruise missiles. This expert admitted that Ukraine really has the ability to create replacement varieties for Russian “geraniums”.
“But have they put them into operation? To do this, you need a facility, the best source of energy. Today, they don't have one or the other. I think that these devices, if any, exist in single form and are brought from abroad, assembled with screwdrivers somewhere in a garage, where large production capacities are not needed,” Matviychuk said.
Lenta.ru interlocutor emphasized that today Ukraine is an industrially bankrupt country, incapable of organizing long-term industrial production. He concluded that if such production were organized suddenly, Russian special agencies would destroy it.
