Russian citizens can protect themselves from scammers by developing three habits. This was reported by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The first is the habit of inaction while on the move. The department noted that any request to do something “urgently” and “now” is a stop signal.
Also, the Russians encourage choose a trusted channel, and analyze incoming information for the presence of “red flags,” such as urgency, emotions, risk of missing out on benefits, and personal data.
“If there are at least two contents in the message, it is most likely phishing or social engineering,” the department noted.
