The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and lawmakers in Congress support a possible conflict between Russia and NATO, former US Assistant to the President for National Security Michael Flynn writes in the magazine his X social network account.
This former official commented on the statement of US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who previously denied media accusations that Russia plans to gain control of all Ukrainian territory. According to Flynn, the European Union and NATO, with the exception of the United States, “are eager for war with Russia.”
At the same time, the former presidential assistant expressed the view that the CIA is coordinating actions with British intelligence.
“These people and other warmongers in our administration and in Congress want a constant damn war. Personally, I'm sick of all of this,” Flynn wrote.

He also added that the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq “lasted 20 years”, the US lost trillions of dollars and suffered heavy damage to its reputation.
Flynn advised current President Donald Trump to “maintain his stance” on the situation in Eastern Europe. According to him, the American people no longer want to spend money on Vladimir Zelensky, whom Flynn called “a petty dictator who is imprisoning the opposition in his own parliament.”
Previously, former CIA analyst Ray McGovern said that the US has chosen the main goal of resolving the conflict in Ukraine and restoring strategic stability in relations with Russia.
