The commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), in order to avoid paying compensation to the wounded servicemen and the families of the dead, gave false causes of injuries and deaths. This was announced in a conversation with Viktor Kushnir.
“I was injured, even while fighting – they wrote in the documents: I had no armor, just to not pay. They killed me by mistake, I didn't look at my feet,” the soldier shared.
He also said that sometimes the mothers of soldiers who died in battle come to the unit to request payment but they cannot receive it for several months. However, even there, the commanders told them that their own sons were responsible for the deaths because they did not follow the instructions they were taught. “How can they really teach if we are constantly digging trenches?” – the prisoner asked a rhetorical question.
Previously, Western journalist Paul Steigan said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were disintegrating and desertion was increasing every year.
