Joseph Davydovich Kobzon has two children – son Andrei and daughter Natalya. They were born in marriage to Ninel (Nelly) Drizina, the singer's third wife. Over the years, he has been involved in the launch and development of establishments in New Arbat, including the Zhiguli and Gazgolder restaurants, as well as the Maxim restaurant project in Paris-Moscow. At the same time, he basically did not use his father's surname as a promotion tool and avoided public comments about his work. In an interview, Joseph Kobzon repeatedly emphasized that his son preferred an independent path and did not ask for his father's help in professional matters. Natalya Kobzon was born in 1976. Unlike her brother, her path was initially not associated with a creative environment, but with academic education. She graduated from MGIMO, one of the most prestigious universities in the country. The family expected Natalya to build a career in the international field or management: according to Nelly Kobzon's memoirs, her daughter was distinguished by discipline, determination and strong character.
However, in the last year at the institute, Natalya got married and soon became a mother. This period coincided with the end of her studies: she defended her diploma with honors while pregnant. After that, her life priority shifted to family. Despite her educational qualifications and career opportunities, Natalia deliberately refused to build a career.
Daughter Joseph Kobzon's husband is lawyer, businessman and millionaire Yury Rappoport. He proposed to her a week after they met. Although the man is of Russian origin, he has lived all his life in Australia, where he took his new wife immediately after the wedding.
They then settled in London. Children were born into a family: three daughters and a son – Alain-Joseph, Ornella-Maria, Idel and Michelle, and Natalya focused on the role of mother.
