Bloodborne reaches 100 FPS on the new PlayStation 4 emulator

November 28, 2025
Reading Time: 2 mins read

For a long time, the PlayStation 4 emulator on PC has pleased with the opportunity to play Bloodborne with 60 FPS, high resolution and other improvements. However, with the arrival of version 12.0.6 of the ShadPS4 emulator, the situation has once again improved significantly, especially in terms of performance.

Bloodborne reaches 100 FPS on the new PlayStation 4 emulator

In a new video, blogger ElAnalistaDeBits tested Bloodborne on the latest version of ShadPS4. On an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060Ti level video card, gaming at 1080p resolution produces 80-100 FPS. And when you increase the resolution to 1440p, to achieve the same performance, you will need a GeForce RTX 5070 video card. If you want to play at high frame rates (more than 60 FPS) and 4K resolution, then you will have to shell out for an RTX 5090.

However, the blogger noted that he took advantage of some of Bloodborne's improvements available on the emulator. For example, increase the drawing object range and turn off chromatic aberration. Perhaps with standard PlayStation 4-level specs, performance would be even better.

In general, players are advised not to exceed 100 FPS due to graphical limitations. This blogger claims that with current performance and additional settings, it is best to play Bloodborne on an emulator rather than on a console. Including due to increased download speeds. Even on regular hard drives, they are almost twice as fast as on PlayStation 5.

Let's remember that Bloodborne was released in 2015 on PlayStation 4. If you do not take into account the unofficial emulation feature, the game remains a hostage of Sony consoles. Apparently, this will happen in the future – in September, a famous journalist urged not to wait for any news about the franchise.
