Diablo IV assistant game director Zaven Harutyunyan spoke about how the developers approached the update release.

According to Harutyunyan, the Diablo team does not have a goal of constantly remaking or breaking the game. Instead, the authors look at many different aspects, evaluate their usefulness and effectiveness, and then decide what needs to be changed.
Some things in Diablo 4, as Harutyunyan noted, haven't changed since launch, which became a problem when creating Towers. He also added that the developers are not trying to eliminate different mechanics. They want to update them so that the game evolves flexibly and doesn't lose its core.
Previously, it was known that two temporary events were implemented in Diablo 4 at the end of the tenth season: Mother's Blessing and Seasonal Splendor. You can read more about what awaits players in the new 11th season in our material.
By the way, according to rumors, a new addition could be announced for Diablo 4 in December.
