Developer League of Legends: Wild Rift announced that in 2026 the game will introduce its first exclusive Mage champion, which is not available in the main version of League of Legends. New characters will be released with update 7.0.

Although Riot Games has not revealed the name of the future champion, the trailer presented directly mentions Norra, the mysterious owner of Yumi, mentioned in League of Legends lore. This may be the first time that a character from the main LoL universe will debut in the mobile version and not the other way around.
The announcement was made during the Wild Rift Dev Update live broadcast, where the development team also confirmed that the hero will be a mage and will receive a completely original set of skills created specifically for the mobile platform.
Previously, Riot has delivered unique visual solutions and redesigned champions to Wild Rift, but there are still no official exclusive characters in the game.
Patch 7.0 with new champions is expected to launch in Q1 2026.
