Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said China has every chance of surpassing the US in developing artificial intelligence (AI) technology. He spoke about this during an industry event where the future of AI was discussed. According to him, the gap between countries is minimal and China is actively strengthening its development.

Huang noted that to maintain US leadership, it is necessary to attract developers around the world. However, China's access to advanced GPUs remains limited. We're talking about high-performance chips for computing and training neural networks, including Nvidia Blackwell's latest line of chips. These solutions are used in data centers and mass training systems for AI models.
The situation is complicated by trade restrictions. Previously, the US government restricted the export of some chip models to China. At the same time, Nvidia announced that it did not apply for a license to supply its latest processors to the country because it was concerned about Beijing's current policy towards the company.
