The Steam platform has recorded a new historical maximum in the number of concurrent users. The DTF portal reports this.

Thus, on January 11, this online service exceeded 42 million people, becoming a record number during its existence.
According to SteamDB, the highest value is 42,042,778 users. At the same time, about 13.3 million of them directly participate in the game, and the rest use the client for other functions, including stores and social services.
The previous record was set on January 5, when the number of concurrent users reached 41.8 million. For comparison, in January 2025, Steam's peak online users were 39.3 million, showing continued growth in the platform's user base.
