Take-Two Interactive has successfully blocked the browser version of GTA: Vice City, created by the Russian group Dos Zone. The project did not last long – immediately after publication, the developers received an official notice from the copyright holder requesting to restrict access to the game, the fifty-fourth Telegram channel reported.

The authors publicly announced receipt of the complaint, noting that we are talking about preliminary (pre-DMCA) notices from Take-Two and Rockstar Games. According to them, the letter is the expected result of the release of the browser version of the popular action game.
Despite the blockage, the team declared its intention to continue working on the project. The developers plan to rework its architecture in a way that removes legal obstacles to its continued existence.
At the same time, the project is not subject to copyright infringement: to launch it requires a licensed version of the game, which officially meets the requirements of the copyright owner.
Dos Zone also noted that they do not consider the situation a failure. In contrast, the buzz surrounding the browser version of GTA: Vice City attracted widespread international attention to the team, which they considered an important result of the work completed.
Previously, it was reported that the world-famous Russian game Escape from Tarkov will be adapted into a movie.
