The authors of the YouTube channel Hardware Unboxed conducted a series of tests to find out whether the new 200S Boost feature can improve the gaming performance of Intel processors and bring them closer to AMD solutions.

However, the test results were not in Intel's favor – the Ryzen 7 9800X3D remains a confident leader. In a test of 12 modern games, AMD's advantage turned out to be very significant.
In Baldur's Gate 3, AMD achieved frame rates 94% higher than the Core Ultra 9,285K. In Assetto Corsa Competitionizione the gap is up to 81% and at ultra settings the figure is almost 89%. In Space Marine 2, the AMD chip is 37% faster, and after overclocking, the Intel chip is 48% faster.

Even in Cyberpunk 2077 and Counter-Strike 2, the difference is 42% and 52% respectively. On average, AMD 7 9800X3D outperforms Core Ultra 9 285K by 30-35% and 200S Boost technology also does not bring a noticeable increase.
In some projects, like The Last of Us Part II, overclocking does not affect the results at all.
