Before the release of The Outer Worlds 2, Obsidian ironically predicted that companions would be a part of the game that players would remember more than the ending. The characters in the first season were memorable – and it looks like the second season's companions will have a huge burden of expectation. PC Gamer Portal speakWhat is known about each companion players will find in The Outer Worlds 2.

Mourn
Faction: Glorious Dawn
Aza belongs to a cult that worships rifles – which the player must play. She also respects violence. According to the developers, players will be able to wean Aza from her violent lifestyle or embrace her chaotic and dangerous tendencies.
Ines
Faction: Aunt's choice
Inez is a combat medic who survived a program that implanted animal body parts into soldiers to make them more deadly. For some reason, she continued to work for her employer after that. The authors say Ines will ask the player to help repair her implants, etc
Marisol
Faction: Order of the Ascension
A representative of a religious order, and at the same time an old but dangerous murderer. It seems she has unfinished business that the player needs help with.
Nile River
Faction: Earth Directorate
A mechanic and member of Earth's board of directors – the “good guys” intending to restore order in the wilds of space. Since the original player also works for the board of directors, Niles will definitely become one of the first companions. As the story progresses, he will either become an even more loyal agent of Earth or turn his back on the organization and find a new path.
Tristan
Faction: Protection
A member of a dictatorial protectorate, who the developers call “judge, jury and executioner” in heavy armor. Players will help Tristan punish criminals according to the faction's rules or show him that justice has other forms.
Valerie
Faction: Earth Directorate
Valerie is a support drone and Niles' de facto assistant. She can heal the character and reduce damage taken, so Valerie will definitely come in handy during the first hours of play.
