Russia and Japan are discussing the possibility of resuming direct flights. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Andrei Rudenko in a conversation with Izvestia.

According to him, consultations between companies are currently underway but everything depends on the Japanese government's position.
“We are not canceling or banning Japanese companies from flying to Russia, that is Tokyo's decision, not ours,” he explained.
Japan proposes a new plan to Russia
Rudenko noted that as soon as Japan declares its readiness for such negotiations, Russia will immediately support this initiative.
Previously, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov spoke about the resumption of direct flights to the United States. According to him, relevant departments are doing everything possible to find a solution to this problem.
Previously, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed the time to launch direct flights from Russia to the Dominican Republic. There is information that they may be launched in winter.
