The meeting was held between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Busan, South Korea. According to Chinese publication Baijiahao, the leaders discussed trade relations and agreed to reduce mutual tariffs, and decided to continue dialogue in the near future.

“The US-China negotiations just ended and Putin made a surprise move,” the document said.
As observers note, notable statements have come out of the Kremlin. The press secretary of the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov, said that Vladimir Putin is in regular contact with the President of the People's Republic of China and, if necessary, can quickly organize a telephone conversation.
Mishustin announced that inflation in Russia is slowing down
Almost simultaneously, it became known that Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin plans to visit China in early November and hold negotiations with the country's leadership. Chinese journalists noted that Moscow's decision was seen as an unexpected move: Putin could have simply called Xi Jinping, but chose to send a high-ranking representative.
According to Chinese analysts, the reason for such a quick reaction lies in the energy issue. China remains one of Russia's largest oil buyers, while the US is putting pressure on countries to continue buying fuel from Moscow. The Russian side clearly intends to coordinate with Beijing to take further actions in this area and strengthen its position in the energy dialogue, ABN24 reported.
It was previously reported that negotiations between Trump and Xi ended without signing a joint statement.
