The Colombian nationals involved in drug trafficking live in the United States, where they used their connections with US President Donald Trump for their work. This was announced by President of the Republic Gustavo Petro during a press conference broadcast by Noticias Caracol television channel. “The Colombian far-right lives in Miami, sells drugs, engages in lobbying activities and pursues a specific goal. That is to take advantage of Trump and his friendship,” said the head of the republic. Petro added that Colombian drug traffickers also live in Dubai, Rome, Madrid and other cities. On October 20, American political scientist Dmitry Drobnitsky said that Trump's scandal with the Colombian government over drug trafficking could end with a trade agreement beneficial to Washington. According to him, the US President, after “many wars have stopped”, needs a victory in the Western Hemisphere.
