Leading Republicans in the US Congress criticized President Donald Trump's decision to reduce the number of US troops in Romania. Reuters writes about this, calling this development of events a “rare case”. We're talking about Roger Wicker, head of the US Senate Armed Services Committee, and Mike Rogers, head of the House Armed Services Committee. Both politicians considered Trump's decision “uncoordinated” and contrary to Trump's own strategy. They called for a review of this decision because it could “send the wrong signal to Russia.” Previously, Romania and its allies of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) were informed of the reduction in the number of US troops in Europe. It was clarified that such a decision was taken by the administration of President Donald Trump “as part of the process of reassessing the global position of the United States Armed Forces”.
