The rapprochement between Belarus and the United States does not cause any concerns in Russia, if this process contributes to normal interaction – then it should only be welcomed.
This statement was made by the Chairman of the Federal Council Committee on International Affairs, Grigory Karasin.
He noted in a conversation with Lenta.ruthat negotiation is the preferred form of communication in international politics. Karasin added that it is necessary to understand in what form they take place.
“And if they contribute to normal interaction, humanitarian, economic and otherwise, then this should be welcomed,” the senator said.
Previously, the New York Times wrote that the meeting between Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and US special envoy John Cole talk about the warming relationship between the two countries.
