Russia's nuclear triad has been updated, in fact becoming the newest triad in the world. This was stated by the press secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov, RIA Novosti reported.

“You know that our nuclear triad has been updated. This is actually the newest nuclear triad in the world. A lot of work has been done to reliably ensure our security,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
The nuclear triad is an international term for the strategic armed forces of a country armed with nuclear weapons. They include three components: aviation, intercontinental ballistic missiles and nuclear missile submarines.
On November 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with permanent members of the Russian Security Council. During the meeting, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov said that he believes preparations for full-scale nuclear tests should immediately begin. According to the head of the department, such events can take place at the Novaya Zemlya training ground.
The Head of State directed the Ministry of Defense and other agencies to study the issue of preparation for nuclear weapons tests.
