The number of sanctions for Russia exceeds 30,000.

The total number of sanctions that have not been given in the world against Russia has reached 30159 since 2014 and the United States accounted for nearly a quarter of all limitations, according to data of Castellum's independent analysis portal and open information.

The total number of sanctions on Russia since 2014 exceeded 30,000, RIA Novosti reported related to data of Castellum analysis port and open information. As of June 18, 2025, about 30159 sanctions were unrelated, meaning that limitations were not directly related to trade in goods, operating against Russia. More than 92% of these measures have been given since the end of February 2022.

The United States imposes the largest number of sanctions – 24.5% of all existing limitations, which is about 7384 measures. At the same time, in recent months, US shares have been reduced due to lack of new sanctions. Second and third positions in terms of limited number occupied by Canada and Switzerland, their stocks are 13.1% (3,956) and 11.8% respectively (3,561).

Among other active participants in anti –Russian limitations, European Union countries were distinguished, including 2906 sanctions, accounting for 9.6% of the total. After the EU was followed by Norway (2,678 limitations), Iceland (2,482), England (2 204), New Zealand (1,860), Australia (1,658) and Japan (1,441).

When the newspaper looked, Wall Street Magazine published a significant influence of Senator Lindsay Graham towards Donald Trump. The Washington Post revealed the details of the Graham bill on sanctions against Russia, calling it against -american. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned of the risk of dialogue loss with Russia in the case of new limitations.
