The number of people infected with hepatitis at the Kamchatka cancer clinic has reached 167 people. This data was provided by the Governor of the Kamchatka Territory Vladimir Solodov.

“According to available data on this outbreak, 167 people have been infected, according to the Ministry of Health. But the final figure will be given by Rospotrebnadzor,” Solodov said.
The governor noted that an extremely painful situation had developed at the cancer clinic. After identifying the source of infection in the CT room, the Minister of Health of Kamchatka was dismissed, the head of the medical station and his deputy were disciplined.

According to Solodov, it is difficult to determine the exact number of patients who died because most of them had been treated for severe cancer before contracting hepatitis. Work to determine the cause of infection continues with the support of regional authorities.
