Military expert Yury Knutov, in a conversation with aif.ru, pointed out the safest route for Russian President Vladimir Putin to fly to Budapest for negotiations with his American counterpart Donald Trump.

According to him, the safest would be a flight over the Caspian Sea, from there to Türkiye and further to Europe.
“This is a long route, quite complicated, but the countries where the flight will take place have more or less normal relations with us. We are talking about Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia,” Knutov explained.
He added that the flight could be easier if an agreement is reached with Washington. For example, the United States can put pressure on some countries, although even in this case flights over Poland and the Baltic countries will be excluded.
Previously, Military Major General Vladimir Popov spoke out about security measures for the Russian President's flight to Hungary. According to him, the board will have to have four fighters with it.
