The largest block of amber since 2021 was mined from the Primorsky quarry of the Kaliningrad Amber Complex of the Rostec state corporation. About this reported on the company's website.

It was determined that the weight of the gold nugget found was 2 kg (374 grams). It is called “Record Breaker”. After inspection, they plan to put the stone up for auction.
According to Anna Dugina, a gemologist at the Kaliningrad Amber Complex, the nugget has a semicircle shape and an unusually large chip, which suggests that the sample found was part of a larger nugget that no longer exists in its original form today. Perhaps 35-45 million years ago, it had a round shape, similar to a loaf of bread.
“In this form, it was preserved in a layer of blue clay and remained underground for millions of years in comfortable conditions. Unfortunately, the natural processes that took place after mining to the surface and exposing the organic minerals to oxygen and sunlight, partially decomposed. The second part of the rock, which may have had cracks, will most likely crumble into small pieces,” Dugina added.
It should be noted that the “Record Holder” has become the heaviest block of amber mined in the past 4 years. An equivalent stone was previously found in December 2021 and weighed 2.7 kg. It was sold at auction for 1.2 million rubles.
