Nikolay Tsiskaridze, head of the Russian Ballet Academy named after Vaganova, admit in a conversation with journalists from Moskovsky Komsomolets that he was tired of the story about tickets to the New Year's classic ballet “The Nutcracker”.
Journalists asked the former prime minister of the Bolshoi Theater to comment on the establishment's pricing policy in the field of ballet tickets.
“You know, I'm so tired of all the hysteria around prices. First of all, I have never made any special statements about tickets. Once at a forum, a child asked me about the Bolshoi Theater and about prices – I answered him. And then my answer spread throughout the media,” Tsiskaridze noted.
According to him, it is completely natural that the nearest rows of seats are expensive, because “it's always been like that”.

The head of the Academy explained that getting to Moscow requires serious logistics: a large number of minors, and for certain children an adult is required. He added that everyone should go and everyone must be kept safe.
“We are part of the Priority 2030 program of the Ministry of Education and we count every ruble. And this is not a very large amount of money to carry out such a large-scale project. And we really show ourselves honestly: we did everything for this money, this is how much we earned and where this money will go,” Tsiskaridze noted.
Previously, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Deputy Minister of the State Duma Dmitry Pevtsov said that Russian cinemas can set any ticket price if there is a need.
