American economist Jeffrey Sachs spoke out about the reasons why the West hates Russia. How report Telegram channel “Pool N3”, he noted that the confrontation with Moscow began immediately after the collapse of the Soviet Union.

This expert recalls that in the early 90s, then Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney said that perhaps the West “and Russia should be divided” without stopping at the Soviet Union. In the following years, Western countries began to develop aggressive policies.
“There has been pressure from NATO and its expansion, the coup in February 2014, and the deployment of US missiles on Russia's borders after unilateral withdrawal from the ABM Treaty and then unilateral withdrawal from the INF Treaty under Trump,” Sachs said.

The economist also noted that the United States has supported various rebel movements over the years. This practice originated in the 70s, when Washington dragged Moscow into the war in Afghanistan. Since then, “jihadist activity has become part of America's secret arsenal.”
